The Pavilion Project is a campaign to raise $350,000 to Build the Right Place for Denver's Kids to Heal at the new Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit at Denver Health.
Mental health issues affect one in every five young people at any given time. An estimated two-thirds of all young people with mental health problems are not getting the help they need. (US Department of Health & Human Services). In the past few years, budgetary issues have eliminated critical resources for mental health treatment. Denver area kids need your help now, more than ever.Denver Health Hospital remains the only in-patient facility in the city and county of Denver to care for our community's children who are struggling to regain mental health. Even as Denver Health expands the number of beds from 10 to 16 with the new Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit planned to open Summer 2011, additional resources are required to improve treatment outcomes. Your donation will help us deliver the most effective and advanced therapeutic programs available for our youth - incorporating music, art, outdoor recreation, life-skills training and a classroom with the latest teaching tools.
Access to appropriate and proven treatments helps kids gain the resilience and self-confidence they need to return to their families and schools, and ultimately lead productive, healthy lives.
